I have never done an Instagram round-up on my blog and I know not everyone is signed up for LikeToKnow. It, although if you would like to know more about what that is, read this blog post I wrote on it awhile back. I personally use it to get outfit ideas from my favorite bloggers on Instagram and I save the emails in a special folder so I can refer to them for inspiration. Any who…like I was saying, for those that haven’t signed up, I don’t want you to miss out on the details of my Instagram pictures, so here’s a round-up of my favorites from April:
Many of you know I attended an invite-only bloggers conference early this month called #rStheCon. I wore this outfit to the opening night pool-side party…and I felt cool, chic, and very, very comfortable! Thanks Erin from Busbee Style for taking the picture!
Shop the look: Ann Taylor Belted Jumpsuit // GiGi New York Carly Convertible Clutch // David Yurman Cable Classics Bracelet // Michele Urban Mini-Diamond Watch // BaubleBar Niagara Drops // BaubleBar Y-Chain// Chinese Laundry Shoes
This is my favorite picture of Erin and me-we really are that happy to be hanging out, sans kids and responsibilities! And you know, it’s important for old ladies to hold hands when crossing the street in heels! For details on Erin’s outfit, head over to her blog!
Shop the look: DressBarn Abstract Dress // Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace // Target Pumps // GiGi New York Jenn Bucket Bag // BaubleBar Fuzzy Pom Charm // Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip // OPI Cajun Shrimp
Proud momma moment here! I actually left the conference early to fly back to San Antonio with minutes to spare to be home for Jake’s senior prom. I’m already pretty exhausted in this picture, and then we went on to pull an all-nighter since we hosted the after-party at our home! #NeverAgain
Shop the look: DressBarn Geometric Scuba Dress // BaubleBar Confetti Collar // BaubleBar Earrings // very old cardigan from Target // Clinique Lip Color in Cherry Pop // OPI Cajun Shrimp // Michele Watch // David Yurman Cable Classics Bracelet
Right in the middle of all this prom and conference craziness was the annual Sephora VIB Spring Sale. I tried to control myself and set a budget, which I actually stuck to, but now I find myself with an even longer wish-list! Can anyone say Too Faced Peach Palette? *sigh*
Shop the Haul: Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette // Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Powder Pearls // ABH Single Eyeshadow in Pink Champagne // Burberry Eyeshadow in Pale Barley // Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Concealer // Stila Liquid Lipstick-Bellissima// Guerlain Lingerie de Peau BB Cream // Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser // Jack Black Lip Balm // Sephora Beauty on the Fly Bag
Just before I went a little nuts (or as I like to say, a controlled crazy) at Sephora, I did do a FOTD with all drugstore items. I hate to relegate them to “drugstore” status, since these are great products, regardless of the price!
Shop my Drugstore FOTD: Wet n Wild Setting Spray // L’Oreal True Match Lumi // Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder // Milani Baked Bronzer // Physicians Formula Classic Nudes Quad // Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art-Topaz// NYX Lip Lingerie // NYX Lip Liner
This April Tarte had a Friends and Family sale (did EVERYONE have a sale this month!!) and I recommended my two favorite products from the line: Tarte Brazilliance Self Tanner and the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette. I use both of these products over and over and over…
I’ve been doing a little spring refresh of my bedroom and bathroom, and was very lucky to collaborate with Minted on some new pillows and lampshades. Of course Wrigley felt he needed to rearrange the pillows to his satisfaction…
I started out the month with my favorite things: blogger conference, Sephora sale, dress shopping…and ended it with one of Michael’s favorite things-golf! San Antonio hosts the Valero Texas Open every spring and Michael likes nothing better than to follow his favorite golfers as they play the course. Which means that we walk all 18 holes (and then some) in heat, cold (welcome to Texas spring weather) and high humidity. Unfortunately the shirt & pants are no longer available (why, Old Navy, why?!), but I brought along some of my trusted hero products to get me through the day.
Shop the look: Hat from Prim & Proper boutique in Oxford, MS // Loft Sunglasses // Kendra Scott Lee Earrings // It Cosmetics CC+ Cream // Supergoop Setting Mist with SPF 50 // Old Navy Sweater // Moon & Lola Acrylic Zodiac Charm // Moon & Lola Short Necklace Chain // Gucci Soho Disco Bag // Old Navy Cropped Pants (n/a) // Tory Burch Caroline Ballerina Flat // Dr. Scholl’s Gel Inserts
I just had to end with this picture. I know they’re a bit dingy and WAY overdue for a hair cut, but I recently looked up from my computer and saw Mimi and Wrigley laying in what to me, kind of looks like a heart. I don’t know why I think it looks like that (it doesn’t), but it sure tugged on my heart!! They’re not related at all, but those two love each other like sister and brother!! #DogLoverForLife
I hope you enjoyed my Instagram Round-Up. I’d like to do more of these for you about once a month here on the blog. It’s a great way to look back on the month and some of the fun I’ve been up to!!
